So, I know I obviously don't use this enough, but whatever. I have a theory about something that I just feel like typing up.
So, one Sunday earlier this summer, I was awake late at night (surprise, surprise) and I happened upon this show called Legend of the Seeker. Apparently it's on ABC Family or something, and so they're just showing the reruns of the first season on ABC's non-cable channel. Or something like that. Anyways, I guess it's only had one season so far, but it's been renewed for a second (Yay!).
ANYWHO. After watching an episode or two on TV, I decided to look it up. And it turns out it's on Hulu! So I've been watching it. I've watched twelve episodes so far. And I must say, I am absolutely in love with Richard Cypher. I've decided he's my new favorite fictional male character. And the actor that plays him, Craig Horner, is really hot. I should probably read the books, but apparently all the people that read the books complain about the show not living up to it and this and that being screwed up and blah blah blah. Um, hello? Of course it's not an exact replica of the book in TV form. I liken it to Harry Potter: The movies are good and they're fun to watch, but the books are a hundred times better. But it seems most of he people that have read the Sword of Truth books (the name of the book series) don't really get that. That's their own fault, though.
But I was originally going to talk about my theory...
Kahlen and Richard are in lurve, right? Right. Except Kahlen is a Confessor. When she confesses someone, they become in love with her and lose their own free will and are basically her slave. If Kahlen were to ever be with someone (meaning, have sex with someone), she'll lose control of her power and that person will be her slave. Of course, to confess someone, she needs to look in their eyes. SOOO... What if her and Richard were together, and one (or both of them) were blindfolded or something? It'd be difficult, but it'd work, right?
I dunno. Just a random theory. I gotta go to dinner now!
I am hungry,
Keegan <3
EDIT 7-25-09
So, apparently in... Crap. I forget the episode. WAIT! Episode 15! So, apparently in episode 15, Giller had made some potion that made it so a Confessor's magic wouldn't affect you. All but one little bottle was saved. Of course, Kahlen and Richard are good people, so they didn't keep it for Richard. Which made me go something along the lines of, "NOOOOO!" Instead, they gave it to Chase because of what Giller did to his wife. So while I was all, "NOOOOOO!" I was also all, "Awww! That's so nice!" CONFLICTING EMOTIONS. AUGHHH.
Honestly. This may or may sound weird and/or creepy, but I just want them to find a way to do it already. I mean, when Kieran and Vivian were in there bodies, even though it wasn't ACTUALLY Richard and Kahlen going at it, I was still getting all fangirl-screamy inside. xD;;
Holy crap. I've gone fangirl for this show. NO WAIIII.
END EDIT.

The show's first season was interesting, at times exciting but not always fun.
Here is my take on it with a little humor and lots o' pics if you are interested.
